My sister has an amazing eye when it comes to taking pictures of children. She catches them in the most expressive poses, with one click of a shutter capturing the essence of their forming personalities. Whenever I grab my camera, I breathe deep and channel her vision, resisting the urge to ask for “Cheese” and trying to become invisible.
I have graet plans for this book. For quiet and peaceful sessions alone with Sophie on sunlit mornings. We’ll be capturing gummy smiles, angry cries, and many other important first year milestones. Stay tuned. It should happen any day.
But for now, the majority of my shots feature Baby Sophie as a prop for her big siblings’ love and antics. They are the stars of her photo sessions. But how can I resist their little faces so filled with love and pride for that baby they so claimed they didn’t want?
