Smores Smiles and a Delicious Giveaway

Making Smores Packets to Toast on Grill.
Making little aluminum Smores packets has an element of surprise that's almost as fun as roasting on an open fire.

I received a fun little package from Hershey’s a month ago with all the makings for a Smores Feast in conjunction with a Smores Campaign the Motherhood was organizing. The kids were dying to dig into the marshmallows and chocolate bars, but mean mom that I am, I made them wait until we got to the beach with my husband’s family for our second summer vacation to have a Smores bonfire. Had I know that the Outer Banks would have a burn ban in effect, we would have Smored it up in Chicago!

Sweet Smores AnticipationSo, instead of toasting our marshmallows while dancing in the sand, we prepared shiny little packages of yummy goodness that we threw on the grill. There were no sandy toes to tuck into bed, and the end result was just as delicious. Smores smiles all around.

Eating Smores Collage
What's your Smores eating technique? Does it involve finger licking?

I have a Smores Kit available to give away today so that you can capture your own family’s Smores smiles this summer. The winner will receive a package with all the makings for their own Smores feast: graham crackers, marshmallows, and of course, lots of Hersheys chocolate bars.

The winner was randomly selected by the “And the Winner Is” WordPress plugin. The Hershey’s Smores prize pack goes out to Kristie. Enjoy!

  1. I like my roasted marshmallows slighty brown….I don’t like them too much when they are black.

  2. It was so hot last week, I made smores in the car. I compiled them, put them on a plate, placed them on the dashboard, and came back 20 minutes later.

  3. I like my marshmallows cooked over the fire and toasty brown, but they almost always catch on fire and end up black, still taste great on a smore!

  4. I like my marshmallows lightly golden brown and soft all the way through…it takes patience, but sooo worth it!
