>and our winner is… Christine from Fresh, Local and Best, comment #9. Check out her blog, it’s one of my favorite food blogs and she has an awesome shrimp recipe up right now! Can’t wait to read about the BBQ she’ll whip up with this cookbook and see her great pics too!
When the weather cools down, I kiss barbecuing goodbye along with suntan lotion, bathing suits, and flip flops. And then I spend the next nine months missing the sun, the pool and most of all, the barbecue. But I just received a book for review that will at least let me enjoy barbecue all year long.
Cheater BBQ: Barbecue Anytime, Anywhere, in Any Weather is filled with incredibly easy barbecue recipes for the crock pot and the oven. No need to brave the cold, rain, or snow, all can be done in the comfort of your warm kitchen.
I loved that Cheater BBQ includes a huge list of dry rub and sauce recipes. It gave me the basic tools I needed to begin experimenting. The index covers just about every cheap cut of meat to be found the meat case from pork butt to chicken thighs, including dozens of types of ribs. I kicked off my indoor barbecuing tonight with a batch of beef short ribs that filled the house with a delicious smell of barbecue all day.

>My husband Bob is a die-hard grillman! As far as he is concerned no weather is inclement enough for him not to grill. The man is nuts! (a good part of why I love him so). He has our patio umbrella rigged with a velcro band that wraps around the deck post…I kid you not! I can't complain though…he is absolutely awesome at the grill.
Enjoy the book…and come into the world of "bbq-a food for all seasons"!
Have a wonderful Christmas!
